Date:

Monday, September 30, 2019, 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Location:

Harvard University Center for the Environment, 26 Oxford Street, Room 429

The event will start off with a brief introduction to the Geoengineering Modeling Research Consortium (GMRC), and then launch into a panel discussion which will address the bigger picture of solar geoengineering research, including both technical and political risks associated with the field, and conclude with a Q&A and discussion with the audience.

Speakers:
Marianna Linz, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering and of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Harvard SEAS
Jadwiga Richter, Scientist III, Climate and Global Dynamics (CGD) Laboratory, NCAR
Steven Wofsy, Professor of Atmospheric and Environmental Science, Harvard SEAS
Frank Keutsch, Professor of Engineering and Atmospheric Science and Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Harvard SEAS

Moderators:
Jean-François Lamarque, Director, Climate and Global Dynamics (CGD) Laboratory, NCAR
Sebastian Eastham, Research Scientist, Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment, MIT

There will be a reception following with hors d'oeuvres and drinks served in the HUCE lounge. If you would like to attend, please RSVP back to Amy at acchang@seas.harvard.edu.
