We were happy to see the geoengineering summer schools restart after a several-year hiatus. This Sixth International Geoengineering Governance Summer School took place in Banff, Alberta in August 2019. It was led by Ted Parson of UCLA and supported by SGRP and others, and it brought together an international group of leading experts with post-graduate students, early-career researchers, and professionals seeking to develop expertise in the field. It facilitated intensive, collaborative explorations of the societal, political, governance, and ethical aspects of geoengineering.
