Alex is a graduate researcher at Stanford University’s Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and visiting scholar at Harvard’s Solar Geoengineering Research Program. Alex’s work focuses on clean energy access in emerging economies, decarbonization of hard-to-abate energy sectors, and international climate policy. Alex’s research at Harvard examines potential linkages in international geoengineering negotiations to guard against the risk of moral hazard and ensure geoengineering is complementary rather than competitive with climate change mitigation. Previously, Alex has worked as a research associate at ReNew Power in India, a research assistant at the Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment in Washington, DC, and a Fulbright scholar in Indonesia. Alex is pursuing an MA in international policy at Stanford University and holds a BA in international studies at American University.
