Yakir Preisler

Yakir Preisler is an SGRP postdoctoral fellow who is conducting research with Professor Michele (Missy) Holbrook.

Yakirs research topic is “The Potential Impact of Solar Radiation Management on Forest Productivity in Dryland Ecosystem.”  He is studying how solar geoengineering, and mainly the increase in diffuse radiation, will affect vegetation in dry and sensitive ecosystems by using observations and modeling tools. He is a plant ecophysiologist who completed his Ph.D. in Israel at the Weizman Institute of Science and at the faculty of agriculture in the Hebrew University, Rehovot.
